Reflecting on 2023, we are excited to share some significant improvements we made to our flagship product, HarePoint Analytics for SharePoint: • HarePoint Analytics for SharePoint Online is now available in the Azure Marketplace as an Azure Managed Application (PaaS). • We have added new reports, including “Departments” and “Department Details,” along with a geographical hierarchy feature that enhances our geo reports by detailing data at the continent, country, and city levels. • The size of our JavaScript-based telemetry collector has been significantly reduced, resulting in improved performance. • We introduced the capability to enable the collection of OneDrive (Personal) sites on demand. • Reports such as "Overview," "Files and Pages," "Document Libraries and Lists," "Document Library or List Content," "Search," and "Search Term Details" have all seen significant improvements. Looking ahead to 2025, we are committed to further enhancing HarePoint Analytics for SharePoint Online. Here are some key developments you can expect: • We will complete and publish a new report package for OneDrive utilizing a new, simpler, and faster data model. This will be fully documented to facilitate easy editing of reports in Power BI and other data analysis systems. • The data model for SharePoint reports will also undergo redesign for enhanced usability and documentation. • We plan to introduce functionality that allows different user groups to generate report data tailored to their specific needs, enabling departments to edit reports in Power BI Portal and Desktop seamlessly. • Support for processing custom events from audit logs will be added, allowing categorization into Write, Read, and Download events. • Reports will gain support for Hub Sites, broadening the scope of your analytics. • Additionally, we are committed to updating HarePoint Workflow Extensions based on user feedback, ensuring we meet your evolving needs.
