Situation:
Automated creation and sending of compliance requirement documents was needed. The information required was located in multiple data sources – texts and lists.

Solution:
HarePoint Workflow Extensions for SharePoint

Result:
Created a workflow that extracts information through regex from fields that originate from the SharePoint term-store and enriches them with other data drawn from an SQL source. Together with other fields from a SharePoint list, they are fed into a formatted Word document. This is converted into a PDF that is sent as an attachment to a client.

Bottom line:
Automation of creation and sending of the compliance document to the client in a single process ensures that upon the collection of all the basic data needed concerning the given client and compliance case, the document is delivered back to the client.
